Pediatric Eye Care in Uniontown, PA
Starting in 2025, Dr. Theroux will be offering Saturday hours in Uniontown, PA for pediatric care to better serve the needs of patients and parents in Fayette County.
Days and hours available each month may vary, but will typically be 2 Saturdays per month from 9AM-1PM. Days will be announced about 1 month in advance.
February 2026 Dates: February 7th and 21st
March 2026 Dates: March 7th and 21st
Only patients ages 14 and under are accepted except in cases of behavioral disorders, special needs, binocular vision disorders, strabismus (eye turn), ongoing amblyopia treatment or at home vision therapy, myopia control, or other functional vision disorders (focusing disorders, post brain injury symptoms, migraines, etc.). Emergency care is restricted to ages 14 and under and special needs patients only.
All routine care will be self pay/out-of-pocket except for those with Envolve vision plan (typically offered through UPMC for You), NVA, and Eyemed. Medical care (including strabismus and amblyopia related care) can be billed to medical insurance as long as Dr. Theroux is in network at this location at the time of the visit. Copays, coinsurance, and deductibles will apply when using medical insurance. If the visit will be self pay, the cost will be quoted before patient is seen.
Material purchases (glasses frames and/or lenses and contact lenses) can be selected/purchased at Fayette Regional Eyecare during their normal optical hours or at any other optical that will fill outside prescriptions. Routine vision benefits can be used for these materials as long as Fayette Regional Eyecare or the other optical is in network with the vision plan.
In general, no glasses frame selection will be available on Saturdays..
